Apprentices Wanted

Altar Guild is looking for a few good women, and/or men to learn the fine art of preparing the altar.  I have recently joined in helping, but others are always welcome.  Talk to Barb, Kaye, or even me if you are interested.

Vestry’s Choice

image

No, David is not waving a flag.  At long last I remembered to bring the Cinnamon Wave Shawl to give to the Vestry to use as a fund raiser.
Here is your chance to own a Hagen Original.
It’s up to the Vestry how they  use it to raise money: raffle, silent auction, or whatever.  The choice is theirs.

We Are Doing Ok

Sorry that it has been a while since I’ve posted.  Can I plead that life has been crazy?

Since the Annual Meeting we have been having Mother Val Ambrose supplying most Sundays.

She has embraced us and we are enjoying the Sunday’s she shares with us.

We hope our snow birds get back soon so they can enjoy her too.

(Ignore the weather reports, the crocuses are trying to bloom.)

Annual Meeting

Amiable, and productive.
Possible long term supply priest approved.
There was discussion, and voting.
There was laughter and applause.
And we left in one accord.
Another meeting accomplished.

Winter Garden

A bit snowy in the church garden, and this was before the most recent snows!  Come back snowbirds, look what you are missing.

Update on Pinnells, and Mark Too

Jan reports their appointment at Mayo Clinic went well. They will be trying to fit in more appointments, so they may be in Jacksonville until Friday before they head on to Pine Island. Keep praying for them.
And on another prayer note, from Torri. It appears that Mark Cubitt is down for the count. They think he has mono. There is some possibility that it is just a virus, but if it is mono he will be 4-6 weeks in recovery. He has graciously agreed to keep his germs home until he is well again.

Please keep him in your prayers as well.

Happy New Year?

With the coming of the New Year, also came the leaving of Duncan and Cindy.

While we wish them well in their new home, now begins the task of searching for a new priest.

Let the fun begin.

Christmas Time Is Here

With our Christmas Eve Service, Christmas has arrived.

The altar was beautiful this year and we are so thankful that our wonderful altar guild does such a great job decorating.

Bonnie’s new Swag

Everyone likes a little bling and shine when dressing up for the holidays.   In Bonnie’s case, she went a little different route.

Keep her in your prayers for healing, and that this “bling” goes by the wayside.

All  I can say is ouch!

Prayer Updates

Ok, I’m not very well informed, but this is the latest I’ve beard.
Bonnie had surgery and is home.
Jim has developed “mysterious symptoms” and is being sent to Mayo.
Somewhere we need to find 3 Vestry members.
But on the bright side, the temperature is already 23!
Keep the prayers rolling.
